U.S Department of Education Regulations
As of July 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Education implemented new regulations that professional nursing programs (LPN and RN) must adhere to Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v). In compliance with this regulation, Southwestern Community College PN and AD Nursing is providing the following information:

Southwestern Community College Practical Nursing and Associate of Science degree, nursing curriculum meets state educational requirements for professional licensure in the states/jurisdictions of: American Samoa, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Island, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
  2. Southwestern Community College Practical Nursing and Associate of Science degree, nursing curriculum does not meet the state educational requirements for professional licensure in the states/jurisdictions of: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Guam, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Virgin Islands, Virginia, and Washington.
